Noah put sounds together in the car and asked what it said.

Visit from and Angel

Noah the angel has visited with a blessing for you of good food for your body. The angels appeared singing, "Girly to God on highest" to tell me I'll be having another baby. They don't know when. Then they reappeared with food for my husband when he gets home from work.

New pet!

Noah found a new pet today. Mom was called into the room with, "Mom, look at my new pet! He has wings, but he carries diseases."

... You can imagine mom's surprise when she came into the room.

*He also calls the neighborhood cat that sits in our lawn our pet. As well as the squirrel that lives in a hole in our garage his pet. This guy is desperate for pets, and he'll take what he can get!

... but he also really cracks Noah and I up!

Father and son date

I took Noah with me to pick up a changing table from a friend, but when we got there she didn't end up being home. I decided we would go out and have a special father son date. We got a special drink from Higher Grounds. He chose a hot chocolate with whipped topping over a huge brownie.

We had some good conversation, he's a very smart kid.

After a while, he decided it would be fun to sit outside. It was getting cold, so we didn't stay out too long. He's really an outside kind of guy; He'll be out there any opportunity he gets!

Craft fun at Michaels

We stopped in to see some clearance items and pick up some clay. The kids got to enjoy a free craft.

Earlier that day we were at Michaels looking at some of their sales, particularly the jewelry and beads. During that time

The kids really had a great time at the store, many thanks to the tea samples in the back. Our kids really loved the chai tea!

This silly man insisted on walking home from the park this way!

Rays of light

So I caught the kids playing around in the stairs a while back, trying to catch the sunlight coming in the window at the top of the stairs. Either that or mesmerized by the tiny particles in the gleaming sunlight. Check it out, it's pretty precious!

Noah, the artist

So I am really amazed sometimes when I see what my kids draw. Noah seems to really have some creative drawings, and I love seeing them. I'm going to have to do a better job of posting some of his work so you can see it. Here is a pizza box that he drew on. I'm going to have to ask Amy what was going on in the photo, and post the explanation.

Noah's Birthday

Noah's 3rd Birthday

Noah had a blast for his third birthday. The day started off with waking up and finding Bob the Builder and Wendy sitting in his chair at the table. Frencesca almost beat him to the table. My mom and sister were there to enjoy the day with him, and he loved it. We had a good morning and we opened some of his presents that we had for him. While opening cards Noah opened a card from my dad that played a little song. He loved it, and after he opened that one was surprised when the others didn't play songs either asking, "Is this broken?"

After presents at home we had planned an afternoon at the park with friends, and cake. We spend a lot of time decorating his cake, which we brought and shared with his (and our friends) that came. Noah had a blast, and even got a few presents there. His birthday ended up being a very happy time for our man, and he really enjoyed having his friends around to share it with him.

Ice Cream Celebration

Dairy Queen trip

Lately we have been very successful at potty training Noah, and for the last two nights Noah has stayed dry all night! Yesterday when he was dry for the first time, we decided to take him out for ice cream to celebrate. Noah was pretty excited and Dolly was sure appreciative about it as well. We took them to Dairy Queen across from ONU, and Josh happened to be driving by and stopped to say hi. If you don't know, Noah loves Josh. And he was pretty excited about him showing up. In other news: Today is Noah's Birthday! We woke up early (before the alarm went off at 6:30am) and I made Noah and Frencesca some cinnamon oatmeal pancakes for breakfast. Usually when I do this the pancakes never actually hit a plate, they come right off the frying pan and into a belly. Needless to say, they devour pancakes. Later today Grandma is coming to spend time with the birthday boy, and hand out presents tonight. I'm looking forward to it, and I'll have videos/photos of it to share later for sure. Check back soon!

Noah find the polish

Noah found the polish

So Amie called me today and asked me, "Do we have a camera here?" Which typically means, Noah got into something, and it's pretty photo worthy. Sure enough, the next thing she says is, "Do you know what your son did?"

As you can see, if you haven't clicked on the photos already, Noah got into the nail polish. He sees mom doing it enough that he decided to give it a whirl. Don't even try explaining to him that he doesn't use mom's polish, nevermind that pretties are for girls only. While we have to struggle to get Frencesca to keep her pretty headbands on, Noah will quickly take them and wear them all day if we let him. What a silly boy. :\

Potty Training

Today I got a call from Noah, which was similar to one I got last week. He told me:

I pooped in the potty daddy!

I couldn't help but express my enthusiasm for our little man. For the last two weeks Noah has been wearing big boy undies and peeing in the potty. He's had his good and bad times, but he is really getting the hang of it. Not only is he excited and actively working towards a diaper free life, Frencesca is excited as well. Just today we put her in her new big girl undies in hopes that she will follow in big brothers footsteps. She loves the cat undies at the moment, and she'll sit in the potty for candy. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

Noah spends some money

Noah gets money when he helps with chores around the house like: Helping mom with laundry, help emptying the dishwasher, and putting clothes away. He only gets a penny here and a penny there, but they really add up. Nana Giove also gives him money and teaches him how to save in the bank that she bought him. All in all he really enjoyed putting money in his bank, and thought it is a cool thing. Now I think he understands that his money is amounting to something, which is a cool realization. We made the whole process a real big event for him: We dumped out his little piggy, counted it (which was really boring for him), went to the mommy bank and made bills out our of change, went to the store, picked out his precious cars, and paid for them. Of course the best part for him was in the car afterward, opening them all up and examining them closely. Here's a video of him lining up all his favorite cars, and naming them one by one. Conversations with Noah

We had a full day of errands yesterday, and after lunch I put Noah in a tree. He loved it up there, and he probably would have sat there and talked for a lot longer as well. Here is some of our conversation. He talks so well! I can't believe the things he says sometimes. Hope you enjoy!

Oh, and his hair dried like that after his shower today, and we think it looks great! He's such an '80s boy today!

Santa takes a visit to Wal-Mart

I was in Wal-Mart getting some supplies for our sick kiddo and mama, when a voice came over the intercom announcing that, "Santa is here." I told Noah, and also told him that I might get in trouble for bringing him without mama or nana. I figured I would at least see how long the line was. As we walked over to see the jolly old man, there was not a soul there, we were first! I plopped Frencesca down on his knee first, and then Noah who really felt that the situation was questionable. He really didn't say much until he saw that Santa had a candy cane for him in his hands. "Thank you sata" he said as he joyfully enjoyed the candy cane in the car on the way home. I thought we might take another trip in to see him with when he is in the area again, but I couldn't resist as we were right there in the same building as him! I figured that nana and mama would understand.

Fun at the doctors

So Amie told me a pretty funny story and I thought I would share it. She had to get some blood work done today, and we weren't able to get a babysitter. So Amie brought the kids to the appointment with her. She was feeling quite dizzy on her way into the appointment, and upon getting to the examination room set Frencesca down. She must have been unsure of herself because she immediately fell and bonked her head on the floor. Amie was picking her up and comforting her when she heard Noah say, "mama dirty." She turned around to see Noah covered in red, and lip stick in his hands. She had no idea where he got that shade of red lip stick, but there he was, red cheeks and all. No sooner than she tried taking care of him did he touch Frencesca and gave her red streaks of lip stick on her head as well. Of course the nurse walked in at that moment, gasped in horror to what she deducted as blood on Frencesca's head! I guess she had known or saw her fall, and assumed it was blood. Amie must have had a fun time explaining it all to her!

Noah Vs. The Door Frame

Last Thursday I got a call from Amie at work:

Dave, come home now. Noah cut his head and I'm not sure if we'll need to bring him into the E.R.

I immediately left work and came home to a gash in our sad little man's head. I soon found out that he had tripped and fell head first into the door frame leading into the kitchen. Amie and my mom were both there to see it, and were able to give immediate care. They were able to stop the bleeding in 5-8 minutes, and I'm sure a squirming little boy in pain didn't help. When I got there the bleeding had stopped, and we talked about whether or not we should take him to the E.R. After Mrs. Taff took a trip over to console and advise us, we decided we had better take him in. We had heard about and hoped for a glue that doctors sometimes use instead of stitches, but they said that it wouldn't work well as he would have to sit still for a while as it dried. So our little guy had to sit through six stitches in his forehead. It was probably more traumatic to us than to him, as he was bouncing and bounding all over the place when we got home. Every now and then he looks at us very seriously, with a frown, pointing to his forehead saying, "ouch onma head. ouch."

Pleasant Surprise

So Amie called to tell me "something amazing happened:"

So guess what happened today? I was feeding Frencesca in the kitchen and I told Noah that he would have to play in his room until his sister was done eating. After she was done eating, it was really quiet and I decided to see what he had been getting into. When I peeked into his room, he was laying on his bed asleep! He put himself down for a nap! That is amazing!

So needless to say Amie is absolutely surprised and happy about this. I told her not to get used to it, and that he was an extremely tired little boy today. He didn't have a nap yesterday, got to bed a little late, didn't sleep well last night, and got up early. Needles to say he was quite the cranky boy when he woke up. Hopefully he will be well rested by tonight.

Noah's 2nd Birthday Party

Hey, it's been a while. I've had a ton of photos to sort through and I figured I would quickly get photos of Noah's party up before it was old history. We had such a good turn out, and Noah had a blast. He got a ton of cars and trucks and all the things that a little boy would love. The Robinson family stayed with us, and he was so excited to have a little boy his age around to play with. It will be great with Frencesca is a little bit older, and the two of them can enjoy playing and having fun. They enjoy each other now, but it's not quite the same.

Well, I have wedding photos, our NY trip photos, and a senior photography session to sort through next. Hopefully I will be able to post something really soon.
