Giovanna is up in a tree at lunch today. Cute as can be!

Our Digger

Mom was out with the kids when she heard, "Mom look! It's snow angels except with dirt!" Amongst snow angels in the dirt, this little girl is a digger! And pretty proud of it!

Giovanna looks to be quite the little digger in training as well! Needless to say, the kids are getting a bath today.

First DQ of the Year

So we made the first DQ run tonight! We decided to leave the kids in the dark on the plan, and surprise them at the last minute. We took a long walk, hoping to throw them off the trail. But as soon as we rounded the corner and DQ came into sight, Noah exclaimed, "Are we going to get ice cream? I think we are." And he was right. A couple dilly bars and a waffle cone for mama before the sun set and left us with a run home in the cold. The good weather is only as good as the sun stays in the sky!

On our walk, we saw a brick structure in someone's yard and Noah exclaimed, "Look! It's an altar!" We told him that it wasn't, but didn't really want to explain what it truly was either. It looked like one of those Mary shrines people have in their yard. We did think was funny however, so we took a photo of the "altar."

Sour cream

So Giovanna really love sour cream. She was able to reach the carton that was left on the table at dinner. And boy did she go to town with it. Mom found out about it when she heard Noah exclaim, "Oh no! Now I have to clean this up too. Don't move, let me get a towel!"

I thought this was rather funny. I never thought it would be dangerous to carry a cell phone at the pump!

The kids were watching a movie after cleaning their toy room. Horace and Jasper would explain their scowl!

Noah, the artist

So I am really amazed sometimes when I see what my kids draw. Noah seems to really have some creative drawings, and I love seeing them. I'm going to have to do a better job of posting some of his work so you can see it. Here is a pizza box that he drew on. I'm going to have to ask Amy what was going on in the photo, and post the explanation.
